The major fields of research at the department are currently Behavioral Economics, Econometrics, Environmental Economics, Finance, Development Economics and Industrial Economics, but there is also a long tradition of research in History of Economic Thought and Methodology, Labour Economics, Macroeconomics and Political Economy, Productivity Analysis, Public Economics and Statistics. Faculty active in research include at present 10 professors and some 30 researchers.
The primary outlet for research is international peer-reviewed journals in economics, but books and book chapters are also regularly produced. Most of our research output first appears in the SWoPEc working papers series. The department also organizes a number of seminar series within different fields with faculty and invited guests as presenters.
